Book Christmas light installation in Tulsa between September 1 and December 20. Hydra Total Care's booking window opens September 1 and closes December 20, and booking in September or October gives you the most install dates before Thanksgiving. Seasonal installation is $4.25 per linear foot of roof line, and that price includes take-down and storage.
The holiday lighting season, start to finish
- September 1: bookings open. Send your address and a photo of the front of the house for a quote.
- September and October: the most install dates to choose from. A good time to schedule [gutter cleaning](/services/gutter-cleaning) and [leaf removal](/services/leaf-removal) too.
- Through the season: the lights stay up and shining on your roof line.
- December 20: the booking window closes.
- January 15 to February 15: Hydra Total Care takes the lights down and stores them until the next season. Both are included in the $4.25 per linear foot price.
Why earlier is easier
Install dates fill up as the holidays get closer, and roof work waits for dry weather. Booking early in the window gives you more dates to pick from and more room if rain moves your install.
If your neighborhood has an HOA, check its rules on display dates before install day.
Permanent lighting has no booking window
Permanent lighting can be installed any time of year, because the LED track stays on the roof line year-round. It starts at $1,500 (most homes around $2,800, about $12 per foot) and has a 5-year warranty and a lifespan of about 10 years. Installing it before fall means it is ready for the holidays without a seasonal booking.
