- 5-year warranty
Permanent lighting in Bixby from Hydra Total Care is LED track mounted along the roof line, color-matched to the trim, and run from an app. It is a separate service from seasonal Christmas lights. On a new home you plan to stay in, it goes up once and skips the yearly install.
Permanent lighting is $12 per linear foot of roof line, and installs start at $1,500. A typical home has about 230 feet of roof line, which comes to about $2,760, so most homes land around $2,800. Peaks, gables, and second stories add footage, so every roof line is measured and quoted before any work begins. It has a 5-year warranty and a lifespan of about 10 years.
New additions between 121st and 151st
Bixby's newer neighborhoods along Memorial and the corridor between 121st and 151st Street are mostly two-story homes with steep front gables and long eaves. The track follows those eaves, and young trees on a new lot usually do not reach the roof line yet.
Many of these additions have an HOA. Permanent lighting is a permanent fixture, so check the HOA's rules on exterior lighting before you book. The track is color-matched to the trim and sits nearly out of sight during the day.
Established homes along old Memorial
Not all of Bixby is new. Homes along the original Memorial corridor and near the riverfront on the Arkansas River have mature pecans, oaks, and sweetgums, and longer gutter runs. Clear the gutters before install day with gutter cleaning, so meltwater can drain in an ice storm.
Set warm white for everyday accent lighting, then switch to Christmas, Halloween, or game-day colors from the app. Nobody climbs a ladder to change it.
